This week, we focus on the importance of making a plan when rebuilding our faith and revitalizing the church. Nehemiah, upon hearing the devastating news about the walls of Jerusalem, was deeply burdened and sought God's guidance through prayer and fasting. He waited for the right opportunity to present his plan to King Artaxerxes, demonstrating patience, preparation, and faithfulness in his duties. Nehemiah's story teaches us the significance of having a well-thought-out plan, seeking God's guidance, and being prepared for the opportunities God provides. We are reminded that any successful endeavor, whether personal or communal, requires a clear plan, patience, and reliance on God's providence. 

Opening Prayer

Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thankful for the opportunity to gather and learn from Your Word. As we dive into the story of Nehemiah, we ask that You open our hearts and minds to receive the lessons You have for us today. Help us to be attentive to Your guidance and to understand the importance of making a plan in our spiritual journey. May Your Holy Spirit move among us, revealing areas in our lives that need rebuilding and strengthening. We pray for wisdom, patience, and faithfulness as we seek to follow Your will. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
